Certificate responsibility
Assigning a responsible party is a useful feature to organise certificates and assure that they are up-to-date. To learn more about this, follow the steps below.
Step 1: To access the Responsibility tab, double-click the certificate line corresponding to the item you want to make changes to.
Step 2: Select the responsible party from the dropdown menu.
The available options are None, Building owner, Owners association, Property Manager, and Tenant. If you choose the last option, Tenant, you will be able to select a responsible tenant.
A new dropdown menu will be available where you can select which tenant will be responsible for that specific certificate.
If the tenant is not yet part of Proprli, click on Register new and create a new tenant by adding their company, first and last name, e-mail address and, optionally, phone number. Don't forget to save and select.
Once the tenant is selected, you have the option to select the checkbox "Grant access." If checked, the tenant will have access to the certificates assigned to them and will have the ability to upload them to Proprli using a limited and protected environment. If left unchecked, the tenant will not have access to Proprli, and you can instruct them on the best way to share the updated certificate with you so you can upload to the platform yourself.
Step 3: Save your changes and the responsible party will be listed in the column "Responsibility."
It's possible to assign responsibility in bulk or for each individual certificate. To learn more about this, click here.
