Submitting a bid after the deadline

In this article we want to explain how you can submit a bid after the deadline, you can follow the steps below.

Step 1: Click on "My Bids" on the menu at the left-hand side of your screen.

Step 2: Locate the project for which the bid deadline has passed. It will be marked as Expired in the Status column.

Step 3: Open the Bid Form by clicking on the Project name.

Step 4: You will see a warning message indicating that the bid was not submitted in time for the deadline. It advises you to get in touch with the client to request a deadline extension via Messaging.

Step 5: Despite the deadline warning, you can still proceed by clicking on the Bid Form tab.

Step 6: Proceed with bid submission by entering the required bid details, such as the bid total, description, and any supporting documents. Ensure that all the necessary information is filled out accurately.

Step 7: Once your bid is ready, click the Submit Bid button. A confirmation pop-up will appear, informing you that the client will be notified by email and that you can revise your bid at any time after submission. Click Submit to finalise your bid.

Step 8: Follow-up with the client after submitting an overdue bid. It is advisable to follow up with the client via the Messaging tab to explain the reason for the delay and to confirm that your bid has been received and considered.

Submitting a bid after the deadline does not automatically grant an extension; it is essential to communicate with the client to ensure that your bid is still valid for consideration.
