Spaces management

When your asset has more than one unit, or when there are multiple buildings on a single lot, you have the option to add identifiers using the "Spaces" feature. Learn more about it in this article.

Option 1: Units

Step 1: Go to the asset you want to add units to.

Step 2: Click on "Edit details" on the top right-hand side of the screen.



Step 3: Navigate to the tab "Spaces," where you can add units, common areas, floors, and view the Gross Floor Area (GFA); click on the line item to expand.



Step 4: Click on "New unit."



Step 5: Within the side window, you will see the following:
  1. Unit name.
  2. Unit code.
  3. Type.
  4. Tenant.
  5. Unit address: by default, the asset's address is added automatically; you can edit this, if necessary.
  6. Additional info: select the floor and add the unit area (optional).


Step 6: Click on "Add unit" to save your changes.

Option 2: Common areas

Step 1: Go to the asset you want to add common areas to.

Step 2: Click on "Edit details" on the top right-hand side of the screen.



Step 3: Navigate to the tab "Spaces," and click on the line item to expand.



Step 4: Click on "New area."



Step 5:  Within the side window, you will see the following:
  1. Area name.
  2. Area code.
  3. Area address: by default, the asset's address is added automatically; you can edit this, if necessary.
  4. Additional info: select the floor and add the unit area (optional).


Step 6: Click on "Add Common Area" to save your changes.

Option 3: Floors

Step 1: Go to the asset you want to add floors to.

Step 2: Click on "Edit details" on the top right-hand side of the screen.



Step 3: Navigate to the tab "Spaces," and click on the line item to expand.



Step 4: Click on "Set floors."



Step 5: Click on "Add floor" and enter a name for it.



Step 6: Click on "Save."
