How to create a new tenant account & assign a contact person

To learn how to create a new tenant account and assign a contact person, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Access the Proprli Dashboard

When you first access Proprli, you will see a sidebar on the left side of the screen. This sidebar contains various sections such as Buildings, Notifications, Dashboards, Sustainability, Reports, and General.

Step 2: Navigate to the Companies section

On the left-hand side of your screen, under the General section, click on Companies to access the list of companies associated with your account.

In the Companies section, locate and click on the Add new company button at the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Fill in the Company Details

A form will appear on the right side of the screen. Fill in the required details for the new company:

1. Name: Enter the company's name. (e.g., John)
   
2. Type: Select Tenant from the dropdown menu to specify the company type.
   
3. Website: Enter the company's website URL (if applicable).
   
4. Phone number: Enter the contact phone number for the company.
   
5. Address: Fill in the company's address.
   
6. City: Enter the city where the company is located.
   
7. State: Enter the state (if applicable).
   
8. Postal code: Enter the postal code for the company's address.
   
9. Country: Select the country from the dropdown menu.
   

After filling in the necessary information, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to Create the new company.

Step 4: Verify the New Company

The newly added tenant company should now appear in the list of companies. You can verify this by searching for the company name in the search bar or by scrolling through the list.

Step 5: Link Contacts to the New Company

After creating the company, you can link contacts to it. Click on the Link contacts button on the right side of the company details page.

Step 6: Add or Select Contacts

You can either link existing contacts or create a new contact:

1. To link an existing contact, select the contact from the list.
   
2. To create a new contact, fill in the contact's details, including email, first name, last name, and phone number, then click Create.
   

Step 7: Verify Linked Contacts

The newly added contact should now appear under the company's linked contacts. You can verify this by checking the contact list.

Step 8: Finalise the Contact's Account

The newly added contact will receive an invitation email to finalise their account. The email will contain a link to set up their password and complete their account creation.
